Bring your pet on your honeymoon

You’ve tied the knot and you’re all packed for the honeymoon. Hang on! Something’s missing. Your pet! Can’t handle the idea of being away from your pet during your honeymoon? Bring them along.

Dog friendly hotels

There are many hotels across the world that allow dogs. This means you can have the best of both worlds. You will need to do your research to find the right accommodation. Never assume that a hotel is pet-friendly, you might be extremely disappointed if you’re turned away. Don’t forget that if you are travelling to a destination you will need to consider how your dog will get there. Do they need to fly, can they come in the car? Taking your dog with you on holidays can definitely be done, it just requires planning.

Hire a house

If you haven’t found a hotel that suits you and your pet’s needs, why not hire a house? There are many rentals for short and long stays! Hiring a house means you can have more flexibility and often more space. You definitely need to ensure that the house you are hiring allows pets. Never take a pet without clearing it with the owner first. A pet-friendly rental is also more likely to be set up for animals, making your stay even easier. It may have a kennel, food and water bowls and other equipment such as toys. These may sound like basic things but this is your honeymoon after all, so you want it to be as easy and relaxing as possible.

Stay-at-home honeymoon

Ever heard of a stay-cation? Well, the stay at home honeymoon is on the rise. Forget airport lines and luggage, this is holidaying at its absolute easiest. This is the perfect option for couples who don’t want to leave or move their pets. To make sure it’s special, choose a block of time, e.g.: 5 days. Tell everyone you know that you won’t be available during that time. Spend your stay at home honeymoon as you choose, but some ideas include stocking the fridge with all your favourite foods, hiring a masseuse to visit one day, indoor picnics and gourmet dinners. The best part is your pet can be part of all of it!

How paw-mantic!
