Wags Walking Service offers the premium dog walking, pet minding and dog training service on the northern Central Coast, based at Bateau Bay.
Before commencing dog walking with any new client, a free 'pre-visit' is arranged. This involves a visit to the client's premises where I meet owner and dog, take down some details and generally get aqquainted.
At the visit I will ask what equipment is usually used on the dog. I am happy to use a flat collar or appropriate body harness or head halter - if owner is unsure, i am happy to recommend and provide appropriate walking equipment. Wags Walking Service does not advocate the use of check/choker chains and will always work with alternative equipment.
Wags Walking Service will always try to accomodate the wishes of the owner in regards to where the dog is walked, eg a favourite route. I am also happy to transport dogs to council approved off leash areas and parks, and can be let off lead depending on how reliable the dog's recall is. if there is any doubt, the dog will be kept on lead, for its own safety and that of the general public.
If a dog is known to be reactive or aggressive towards other dogs, Wags Walking Service may instead offer to exercise the dog on its own premises, for the safety and well-being of the dog, as well as other dogs and the general public.
Wags Walking Service will only walk a maximum of two dogs at any one time and only if they are from the same household and are accustomed to walking together.
I provide liver treats (if ok with owner), walking equipment, (if required) waste bags and water.
Servicing a range of pets, mostly dogs and cats but also rodents, reptiles, rabbits, birds, fish, horses and more!
We offer care in your own home, where animals can remain comfortable in their own familiar environment. I offer a free 'pre-visit' before the petminding period, to meet the owner and animal/s, collect animal details as well as owner contact details and become familiarised with feeding routines, etc.
Services are tailored to meet your pets individual needs and may include:
Once or twice daily visits, depending on your pets needs.
Feeding, patting, cuddling, dog walking, medicating, playing, ball throwing, putting pets outside for the day/inside for the night, dog 'poo patrols' in the yard and cleaning of cat litter trays.
Other services include mail collection, putting refuse bins out for collection and bringing them back in, plant watering, security checks.
Phone references and a great written reference from a retired police officer well known to me is available!
Private training in your own home for one or two dogs (no extra charge for second dog). Teaching basic manners and obedience.
Training is reward based and I use kind methods only. Great fun for you and your dog!
Your dog/puppy will learn how to:
